Happinut – my new business

October 22, 2017

I don’t know about you but I’ve always been an ‘ideas’ person. Constantly thinking of different business ventures in the hope that one day I’ll take the plunge. I guess it’s taken me this long to really feel like this idea is something I have ‘slept on’ a hundred times, I’ve dreamt about many times, I’ve talked about until people are sick of hearing about it and I’ve done a lot of daydreaming and research about my baby business.

So, it’s so humbling to make my idea ‘happinut’ come to life 🙂

Who knows how it will shape and mould over time but for now I’m so pleased with how it is starting out! It all began 12 months ago when I returned from my trip to Bhutan. I wanted to start a ‘mindfulness’ website and the word ‘happinut’ stuck as a reference to ‘happy head’ (it is honestly sheer coincidence that now my business sells mainly nut products….lol!). Anyway, I loved the concept so I registered the business and domain names straight away (I have a million different domain names that I have bought for potential businesses – but I have never registered a business through ASIC – I knew this one was a keeper!).

As I said I slept on this idea for many nights, I thought about it and researched how I could develop it. I did my vegan chef course at the beginning of the year with Matthew Kenney and this gave me another element I would like my business to include. With a few external factors going on in my life in around March this year I parked this idea knowing that I would come back to it when the timing was right.

I took this time to really think and feel about Happinut and how I want it to be executed.

So, a few weeks ago the timing wasn’t right at all but I felt like I had to do this. Who knows, maybe the timing would never be right? I guess there was that fear that a few years from now I would still be wondering if my business idea would come to life!

So, for now Happinut produces all natural, gluten free and dairy free superfood balls and different flavours of activated almonds. We are at markets in Sydney most weekends selling our products and the website is coming soon where you will be able to buy directly from us! I aim to infuse my healthy, ‘clean eating’ creations with Mindfulness techniques and a strong fitness influence 🙂

If you want to hear more about Happinut or stay in the loop remember to give our Instagram and Facebook page a like and follow :)Hope you all had an awesome weekend!
