warm protein oats

June 5, 2019

It was a cold, wet, dark and dismal morning. I had walked to work at 5am and had stood training clients for 4 hours with soggy, wet trainers on (NOT recommended) and I was utterly freezing. Despite that I had a great morning taking group classes and PT but when it hit 10am and it was time to go home I needed something warm, nourishing and satisfying. I was looking for a #foodhug ๐Ÿ™‚

OATS came to mind straight away so on my way home I bought everything I needed for this epic ‘warm up’ that I needed. It also kept me full for ages and gave me that #foodhug that I needed.

Whilst I was shopping I came across Uncle Toby’s Super Blends Protein Oats (not sponsored) and I thought I’d give them a try. I was so happy with my choice so I’m glad it comes in an eight serving box. Along with being high in protein these oats contain fibre and wholegrain to support healthy digestion, oats beta glucan to help lower cholesterol and wholesome ingredients with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

I made a maple, cinnamon, banana, cacao version but you could add anything like honey, apple, pear, hazelnuts, pecans, nut butter, cherries, strawberries and so many more!

I hope you enjoy this recipe! If you are looking for something that takes the chill off, keeps you full and nourished AND tastes amazing look no further!
