My Vitamix
If you follow me on Instagram you will know only too well that I love my smoothies, in fact I think I'm an addict! In mid 2014 I was extremely lucky to get the Professional series Vitamix as a present.....I know the price tag is sickening but I have to say this solid bit of kit has become part of my daily routine. At first I was a bit unsure as to what else I could use it for but now I use it to make my homemade hummus, my yummy protein balls and for blending soup to the softest silkiest texture I have ever known. Unlike a lot of other kitchen utensils that are gathering dust at the back of my cupboard this gets pride of place on my bench top and gets used almost daily.
You don't have to buy a Vitamix to make smoothies as there are plenty of cheaper alternatives that will do the trick. I recently bought my mum a NutriBullet in the UK and she raves about it and I know there are a lot of other contenders that will suit most budgets.
Recently Vitamix launched a Personal Blender which can handle smaller kitchen tasks and on the go smoothies. (I want one of these as well I love the brand so much!) The Personal blender is a bit more affordable and great for those amongst us who have the smoothie bug but are not quite ready to commit to the bigger machine.
Overall the Vitamix is fantastic if you are after a good quality blender. It also has an amazing luxe, chic look to it which always gets my vote, especially if its constantly on show! I love it!
