4 x ways to make really tasty Apple Cider Vinegar drinks

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is not something I took to straight away. In the beginning I went down the track of just adding honey, but no amount of honey could cut through the awful taste.....so I gave up. However, for most of this year I've been drinking ACV on and off and I've tried to find ways to make it taste somewhat bearable. Anyway, I think I may have cracked it...I'm not going to lie it is still quite potent but these easy recipes make the whole experience so much more enjoyable! Now I drink ACV every day and I actually think I might be addicted..... :)

ACV has known health benefits and is regarded a super food because of it's high concentration of acetic acid which improves the body's absorption of important minerals. Incorporating ACV into your everyday life can do wonders for your health and has numerous benefits. To name but a few, it can help   to fight viruses and bacteria, to cleanse arteries, to regulate calcium metabolism, to relieve sore throats and flu, to aid digestion, to control and normalise weight and to STAY YOUNG!

You will need:

1. Blueberry - Acai ACV

1/3 cup of blueberries

1 tbsp. acai powder

1-2 tbsp Organic ACV

3 drops stevia

500ml Water

*I sieved this one through a nut milk bag, you don't have

to do this I just wanted it to taste more like a water/juice.

2. Honey and Ginger

1 tbsp honey

1-2 tbsp Organic ACV

1 cm. piece of ginger

500ml water

3. Watermelon and Rose

3 cups of chopped watermelon

1 tsp rose water

450 ml water

2-3 tbsp Organic ACV

(makes approx 900ml's ACV water)

4. Tangy citrus

 1 peeled orange (no pips)

1/2 peeled grapefruit

1/2 lemon juiced

1/2 lime juiced

450ml water

2-3 tbsp. Organic ACV

(makes approx 800ml of ACV water)

**If you don't have a powerful blender you can just squeeze the juice

from the orange and grapefruit

Method:

  • Place all of the ingredients into a high speed blender such as the vitamix (I usually use the smaller amount of ACV and then add more afterwards - you still want to be able to taste the ACV so don't hold back too much!)

  • Blend until all of the ingredients are combined

  • Taste and add more ingredients/ACV if required

  • Enjoy
