Lavender Scrub you need to try
HOME-MADE LAVENDER & ROSE BODY SCRUB x x
This is a 'girlier' follow up to my coffee body scrub! Since getting Rosacea I have had to be oh so careful with what I put on my face and it has made me cautious about what I am putting on my body as well. Yes, a home-made scrub can be quick and easy to make as well as being cost-effective but it also gives me peace of mind knowing that all of my ingredients are natural and organic.
Only recently I have had a massive flare-up of Rosacea on my face which means I can only wear eye make-up and lipstick before it settles down again! Its SO distressing and frustrating not being able to use any products I like as I love my make-up! However, I'm thinking I might try some natural remedies such as face masks over the next few weeks and see if I get any improvement. If it is a success would you like me to share the 'recipe's'? Let me know in the comments below!
Anyway, this is a really delicate scrub and has one of my favourite scents....lavender! If you are not a fan of Lavender you can use any essential oil you like! (Some personal favourites of mine are Ylang Ylang and Jasmine).
I made this scrub on the dryer side....if you find it too dry just add some more coconut oil!
You will need:
1/3 cup of himalayan rock salt
1/2 cup of celtic salt
1/3 cup of coconut oil
5 drops of lavender oil
Glass jars for storing/giving as gifts
**optional: 2 tsp dried lavender buds
**optional: Dried rose petals
Method:
Combine all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl
Decant into your glass jars
