How to look chic in sneakers

LOOKING CHIC WITH SNEAKERS.....yes, it can be done x x

As promised in my last post, I would try and get some more 'style' edit's for you! My blog is still so young I feel like you don't really know me yet in terms of my style and this post is a bit different from all of the rest (although I'm still wearing my beloved stan smith sneakers.....I will get to heels soon!)

One thing that is the same though is my obsession with monochrome and it's safe to say I own a wardrobe that is monochrome with neutrals (and maybe the odd pastel)...so muted tones are definitely my thing!

I have been searching and searching for a black blazer with more of a 'boxy' fit and single breasted - I know double breasted is everywhere at the moment but I'm yet to find a double breasted jacket I like open....and in Sydney I hardly ever do up my jackets! Anyway, I came across this Sandro blazer which I LOVE and I can see myself wearing to death.....the thing with Sandro is the cut, I have bought so much from Sandro in Paris and I knew that the cut was right for me, along with the structure and tailoring of their jackets (you know when you just find a brand that works - well Sandro is mine!).

Sandro is fairly new in Australia having only been stocked in David Jones for about a year, but the lovely assistant today informed me that they are opening up stores across Australia which literally fills me with excitement. I think they open in Melbourne first so it looks like more trips to Melbourne will be in store :)

I teamed my new blazer with a simple Bonds tee and black pants from zara. I also wore my new handbag from Zimmermann....this is part of my birthday present for friday so I wasn't really meant to be showcasing it just yet....but I thought it really suited the solid, 'clean' look I was going for (I mean, it's basically a mini briefcase). I finished the look with my favourite Chanel sunglasses and watch.

I hope you agree that you can still look chic in sneakers?

This post forms part of my entry for the Rising Social Star competition which is 'how would you style a plain tee?' From ripped jeans to blazers,  activewear to heels a plain tee is essential in everyone's wardrobe and can be style in so many different ways! Make sure you are following me on instagram @sophieluxe to stay up to date with my competition entries and style photos.

Enjoy x x
