How to make a matcha smoothie bowl

HOW TO MAKE A MATCHA SMOOTHIE BOWL X X

Matcha, Matcha, Matcha!! I know I have been singing and dancing about matcha recently but i seem to have developed a mild addiction! It's definitely a good thing to be addicted to with high antioxidants, chlorophyll, amino acids and deliciousness! Matcha can help the body and mind relax and lets face it we all need a bit of relaxation every now and again (or seemingly all the time in my case!)Its so easy to make a smoothie bowl and this makes a nice change with the subtle green tea flavour creeping through and the fresh kiwi fruit on top! An awesome way to start your day :)

You will need:

1 frozen (large) banana

1 cup of home-made almond milk

2 tbsp of matcha powder

1 cup of spinach

1-2 tsp maple syrup OR 1-2 medjool dates

1-2 large cubes of ice

For the topping:

1 kiwi fruit, sliced

Activated Buckinis

1/4 cup chopped raw pistachios

1/4 cup of muesli

shredded coconut

Method:

  • Combine all of the ingredients (minus the topping) into a high speed blender, I use my beloved vitamix. Blend until smooth. Check the consistency, add more nut milk if too thick or more ice/frozen banana if too thin. Feel free to adjust the sweetness here as well with more maple syrup/dates.

  • Garnish with the topping ingredients.

  • Enjoy x x

NOTES:

Feel free to go crazy with the toppings! What I have used is only a guide and a small example of what you could use!
